Vista on a laptop and a desktop. Video editing programs I already had aren't supported in vista and won't be. So I suppose that's not really a vista problem but they could have made it work with programs only a version or two past! Had to switch to lesser programs and deal with their issues & quirks. Winders Media won't play mpgs nor wmv on my desktop. THAT sucks when you try to play back video edits.
I wish I could go back to XP but there are a ton of issues in doing that as well. All in all I'm learning to adjust and have decided that there will NEVER be a computer built that JUST WORKS. Ain't gonna happen.

Goat Hill
by knock knock indriving through an area of town today and was told that that particular locale was once referred to as "goat hill" by the local jw's.
it was the affluent section of the city some 30-35 years ago.

Now, not so much. Middle class at best. I had never heard that reference before and it just struck me as funny -thanks to hindsight of course. So very typical of the witness way of thinking.

Hey slimboyfat: Isn't the "everyone will literally see Jesus" new? I know I had never heard that from any JW in the past. Never. I've heard it from Baptists for sure and dubs scoffed at the idea. He ascended once and never to be seen by human eyes again was the story I got.

So now every literal eye will see Jesus? All they need to do now is to say that the tribulation is seven years long and presto, they're falling right in line with "mainstream" churches...except for that pesky trinity thing. Dubs use to harshly ridicule anyone that said "every eye will see him" was literal. Ain't new light wonderful?

The best rock drummer you probably never heard of
by JK666 inas you all know i am a huge frank zappa fan, and he has had some of the world's best musicians play in his band.
he also had great drummers, but my personal favorite was terry bozzio.
he reminds me a little of a young keith moon with his wild expressions.

I saw Bozzio do a drum clinic a few years ago. Amazing. However, he was doing his drum solo stuff and not "rock drumming" per se. -

OMG - I did it - I told my Mom and Dad how I feel...
by Princess Daisy Boo inmy mom and dad came round today and we ended up at the local mall with my hubby and kids having lunch.
after lunch my hubby went home with the kids and i stayed on with my folks to do some shopping.
as we were driving home, i pointed out my son's new school, and we were discussing the merits of private vs. public schools etc, and mom says "i just hope that by the time the kids get to highschool that the end has come, and you and the family are in the truth".. i mumbled something about having my doubts.

Will this be "the Sign of the Son of Man"?

i just read about a comet that is now heading our way that will come closer to us than our moon.
this comet will be visible in earth's skies on april 13th ( good friday, the day of christ's death ) in the year 2029. it will then return exactly seven years later on april 13 ( easter sunday, the day of christ's resurrection ) in the year 2036. it is said that its 2029 pass through the earth's skies and its gravitational pull may alter its orbit just a little bit so that upon its return in 2036 it may strike the earth.

i let my jw son use my 4x4 truck to go north on a snowboarding trip, so i borrowed his car...i find several pages of wt cd printouts, and as i was driving scanned them a bit.
nearly ran off the road when i saw this review question.
